There is a weather warning out for our area today (January 12) which forecasts that there is a high likelihood of us getting some (snow!) by late afternoon and through into the evening. This will then be followed by a very cold night with ice on untreated roads and pavements. The weather will remain cold with wintry showers through until Sunday.
Rest assured we are working closely with all the relevant agencies and emergency services in Hampshire and the IOW to mitigate any issues that may arise as a result of this cold snap. To that end extensive gritting of major routes will be taking place from 0500 on Thursday and we will be holding further teleconferences with these agencies through the day.

Your Local MP
You can contact your MP, Damian Hinds, by email at email@example.com.
Damian also runs regular advice surgeries in East Hampshire and to make an appointment, please call his parliamentary office on 0207 219 7057 or send an email to the address above. You will need to provide your full name, full address with postcode and contact telephone number, as parliamentary protocol prohibits Damian from acting for constituents who are represented by another MP.

Bentley Playground Project
The Parish Council, is currently working on a project to replace the existing play equipment which will include a new layout and design to include ages from two to twelve. Our aim is that this will take place during 2016/17. We also aim to replace the cricket matting at the recreation ground. Updates will be posted in the Parish newsletter(s).
Bentley Village Pond
Work to the village pond will commence during the Autumn period because this is the most ideal time. The pond committee is hoping to dredge the pond to remove access algae and some necessary work will be carried out by a tree surgeon to the willow branches.
