Phoenix Group Information

The Phoenix Group, which had it's roots in the Women's Institute, is open to women of all ages from Bentley, Binsted, Froyle and the surrounding area. The group meets monthly (generally on the 3rd Tuesday of the month, except for August) throughout the year.

During the year a range of activities and talks or demonstrations take place, as part of a planned programme designed by the members. Husbands, partners & friends are invited to three or four of the events during the year.

The Phoenix Group ‘talks or demonstrations’ take place in the Dennis Smith Room, at Bentley Memorial Hall, from 7.30pm, with refreshments being provided after the presentation. There is no 'membership' fee for the group, but a charge of around £3.00 is made each time you attend. The Group currently has 50 members and approximately 25 people attend each month.
