Bentley Parish Council consists of 8 councillors all of varying backgrounds, ages and sectors of the community so we are well represented throughout.
The Parish Council has one advisory committee - The Finance & General Purposes Committee which is an advisory committee to the Council and consists of 3 members of the Council and the Clerk.
Budgetary and internal financial controls;
- Risk assessment;
- Asset Register;
- Insurance policy;
- Financial Regulations; and
- Banking arrangements and bank mandate.
The committee will also propose a budget and precept, and will advise the Council on officers' salaries, pay awards and contractual arrangements.
Minute 20/17 - It was RESOLVED that for the financial year 2017/18 Cllr Turner, Cllr Lockey & Cllr Hurley would be members of this committee.
The Council has one part-time member of staff - Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer Mrs Lorraine Jeffs who is CiLCA qualified. This is a permanent salaried position working up to 20 hours per week from home which is used as the Parish Office.
Parish Opening hours: Monday to Thursday between 9:00am to 2:00pm. The Office is closed on: Friday's, Bank & Public Holiday's.
